How do I log into my account?
You can log into your account from, essentially, any page within PsychDirectory. On the front page of the directory you’ll find the Account Login box in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Simply type in your login name and password (you’ll get both of those in your e-mail after registering with us) and click the “LOGIN” button.
If you are browsing the directory and want to log into your account, you may do so by clicking the Psych User Login button in the upper right-hand corner of the page. This will take you to a page, where you can type-in your login name and password.
Once logged-in, you will see you profile and the statistics for your listing. If you’d like to change any information in your listing, or add more data to it, simply click the “CHANGE” button, make the necessary changes, and log-out. Your changes will be uploaded immediately and you’ll be able to see your newly updated listing right away.
What if I can’t remember my password?
Click on Psych User Login button, located in the upper-right-hand corner of the page and you’ll see the “Password Reminder” link. When you follow this link, you will be prompted to enter your e-mail address (remember, you’ll need to enter the e-mail address you used when registering with PsychDirectory). Or, simply follow this link and it will take you to the same page. Enter your e-mail address and click “SEND” – you shall receive an e-mail with a new re-set password shortly. Once you get it, you’ll be able to log-into your account and change the password to something you will easily remember.
How often can I change or update my profile in PsychDirectory?
You can change/update information in your PsychDirectory listing as often as you’d like. To do so, simply log-in to your account, click the “CHANGE” button, make the necessary changes, and log-out. Your changes will be uploaded immediately and you’ll be able to see your newly updated listing right away.
How do I decide what type of listing is right for me?
It all comes down to how much exposure you’d like to get for you practice/business.
Premium Listing will get you most exposure – your listing will appear on top of all other types of listings; it will stand out because of its premium colors; you can upload your or your company’s logo (if you don’t have one, we’ll be happy to design one for you); this listing will also have an on-line map and directions to your office, a link to your website (once again, if you don’t have one, our webmasters can design one for you), a “Send Message” function with an antiSPAM feature, and a long, up to a 1000-character descroption of your practice. This type of listing also allows you upload a rotating banner (you can upload your own or order it from us), which gives your profile much more conspicuity and exposure throughout the whole directory and can bring more traffic to your own website.
Advanced Listings are displayed right below the Premium ones. It has the same features as the Premium Listings, minus the rotating banner, and the description of your profile would have to be shorter here – no more than 750 characters.
Enhanced Listings are positioned below our Advanced listing and above all of the Basic ones. This type of listing will allow you to post your profile/description of your practice (up to 500 characters long), it will have a “Send Message” function and a direct link you website.
Finally, our Basic Listing will include your contact information and a short summary of your practice. This listing has no annual fee; after paying a one-time fee (for review only) you’ll be able to keep your listing with us as long as you wish. If you are planning on using your e-mail to communicate with potential clients, however, or would like to drive traffic to your own web page, we recommend that you consider one of our sponsored listings, described above. You can also update your listing from one type to another at any time.

Will people see my e-mail address in my profile?
No. We took extra care to make sure that your e-mail address cannot be seen by our visitors or those who harvest e-mail addresses for the purposes of spam mail. PsychDirectory visitors interested in your business (potential clients for your practice, companies that want to commission your services, etc.), will simply click a “Send Message” button in your profile and type-in their message in the box provided. At no point will they see your actual e-mail address. You will get an e-mail with a subject “Message from a PsychDirectory visitor”, so you’ll know that whoever is contacting you, has found you through us.
Can you help me design a logo and/or a banner for my listing?
Absolutely. Our graphic designers will be happy to work with you on designing the right graphics to enhance your listing with PsychDirectory. Of course, once you have a logo (or a banner) for your practice, you can upload it to your own website as well! Follow this link to find out more about our custom design services.
